Continental Shifts
Listen: Continental Shifts (2:10)
I too shimmer when cracked open.
Have found myself in streetlamp constellations
living on the fault-line of dirt and water.
Port cities appear as magma veins
bleeding into the night: Life-giving wounds,
coastal scars. I stayed in the flooded border
resisting the ocean’s dark pull.

“Continental Shifts” was recorded in Nottingham, UK by Sabine Wütrich (soprano), Daniël Kramer (piano), and Simon Paterson (sound engineer).
